Treat yourself with kindness.

Together, we can do the work.

Are stuck thoughts and actions getting in the way?

If it seems like automatic thoughts are bossing you or your loved one around, you aren’t alone. Negative self-talk, worry, intrusive thoughts, and behavioral urges can make our lives and relationships more difficult. That lightning-quick "boss" in our heads can use seemingly-helpful tricks that keep us from being our best selves.

Have you or your loved one ever felt stuck on something like this:

"I have to do it this way or the worst will happen.” or “I shouldn’t have done that.” or “I have no options.”

"What if something terrible occurs?” or “What if I fail?” or “What if I can’t control the outcome?

"I don’t matter." or “What I’m doing is pointless.” or “No one cares about me.”

If these sound familiar, it's not your fault! Our brains react lightning-fast. But there’s good news: we don’t have to be stuck with this self-talk, and we can develop a new script. By identifying the problem (not a problem-person), setting goals, recognizing "triggers" and associated feelings, and learning how to choose a response that is authentic and healthy, we can clarify and change our actions, thoughts, and feelings.

Ready to “boss-back” what your brain is telling you? Let’s get started.
